Profile Options
Traditional Hoop. The arch profile delivers a large, unobstructed interior that works well for bulk storage, round bale handling, and equipment that needs width more than wall clearance.
Straight Leg Style (SLSS). Vertical sidewalls run the full length of the building before the roof arch begins, which does two things: it increases usable floor area near the walls, and it opens up side entrance configurations that the hoop profile cannot accommodate. For operations planning commercial racking, shelving systems, or forklift access from the building’s side, the straight leg fabric building is the right starting point.
Key Features
Column-free across 60 feet. Equipment moves in, out, and around the interior without routing around structural supports. Whether the building is housing wide mining equipment or running multiple work bays in parallel, the floor plan works the way the operation needs it to.
Multiple door configurations per end wall. Separate vehicle and personnel access, simultaneous ingress and egress, or purpose-specific openings for different operational functions, the end wall can be configured with multiple openings to match how the site actually runs.
Site-specific engineering, not off-the-shelf loads. Snow, wind, and rain load requirements vary by location, and the 60′ is designed to the actual conditions of the site. Stamped engineering documents covering Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions are available for permitting, insurance, and corporate governance requirements.
Foundation flexibility built in. Concrete, footings, pads, pony walls, rig matting, screw anchors, shipping containers — the right foundation depends on site conditions and profile choice. FastCover works to help you choose the best foundation option for your jobsite, rather than prescribing a single approach.
Insulation and heat-ready. Either profile can be fully insulated and fitted with a heating system, making this a viable year-round facility for cold climate operations, not just a seasonal cover.
Grows with the operation. Additional bays can be added to the length over time. The building doesn’t need to be replaced when space requirements change, the building can be extended.
Common Applications
This fabric building size is common in industries where floor area and access clearance drive facility decisions:
- Heavy equipment and wide-load vehicle storage and maintenance
- Mining and oil field laydown and maintenance facilities
- Large-scale agricultural equipment storage
- Industrial warehousing and bulk material storage
- Sand, salt, and aggregate covered storage
- Construction and contractor staging for larger operations
- Commercial operations requiring racking systems or side access
Why FastCover
For over three decades, FastCover has manufactured fabric structures in Winnipeg, Manitoba, engineering each building to the load requirements of the site rather than applying generic specifications. The 60′ Engineered Commercial Fabric Building is reviewed by independent third-party professional engineers and built to the same double truss standard as FastCover’s full industrial series. All steel and fabric is backed by a 15-year prorated warranty.
